A little crabby...

I have been to Myrtle Beach MANY times in my life. Our boys have gone nearly every summer of their lives... That said, we have never stayed as far north as we did this year. We were at the northern tip of North Myrtle Beach. At the tip, the channel meets the ocean that causes a huge sandbar many feet from shore. When the tide comes in and then washes back out, it creates a LARGE pool that harbors crabs, fish, jellyfish and hermit crabs.

In the mornings we would take our buckets and wade through the shallow of the pool looking for little hermit crabs scurrying around on the ocean floor. It was great fun to see how many we could capture.

We kept them in our buckets for the duration of our time on the sand that day. At the end of the day, the boys would find another pool of water and let them go. Of course they got to start the whole process over again in the morning.

Travis would look on, but wouldn't play with them much. He wanted to dump the crabs out so he could play with the buckets. Brad and Wyatt had to guard their crabs from Travis.
