Beach 2008

It was another great trip to the beach.

Brad was really anxious about this year's trip. He's now getting old enough that he understands what's coming up and the anticipation about kills him. He kinda reminds me of his uncle Chad - except Brad still sleeps the night before something big and/or exciting.

We got there with no incident and were quite surprised to find that where our condo was, there weren't any high-rises around. That was a great indication that the beach wouldn't be so crowded we'd feel like sardines. And as soon as we unpacked, Mom and I headed to Walmart. (Last year we stood in the checkout line for over 40 mintues, so we wanted to beat that this year.) We were in and back to the condo within an hour and a half - that's a time hard for me to beat at home!

We ate at lots of good places; Friendly's, Landry's, Miyabi, Dominoes (hee, hee) and Sticky Fingers. We only had one day of rain - on Wednesday. The only injury was when Jake was stung by a jellyfish while hunting for crabs. The waves weren't anything to brag about, but overall the ocean experience was a decent one. The kids had fun and we didn't want to come home. So overall it was a good vacation.

Below are posts of different happenings while on our vacation. Enjoy.

Well, wish we could have been there with you guys. We went to the outlets and to the beach this week to commemorate y'all being there. It wasn't quite the same. Maybe some year we'll get to go again.
