Celebrate Independence Day

Independence Day in Winchester is great because there are always fireworks being set off the whole holiday. Thursday night we went to Jim Barnett park to watch the city fireworks after the baseball game. We took our blankets and lawn chairs and sat in the field outside Daniel Morgan Middle School. And of course it's no fun to go alone, so we joined up with the Mays family.

We got there a healthy time before so that the boys could run around and play. Travis wasn't feeling so hot, so he just sat on mine or Jake's lap. Bre and her friend played DS and talked and the twins ate popcorn and watched people. Robbo treated all of the kids to icecream from the truck parked on the side of the street catering to all of the summer-loving people.

Travis wasn't too keen on the noises the fireworks made. He didn't mind the light show, but would squint in anticipation of the loudness.

again it's good to see brad in an italian soccer jersey. particularly on the 4th. it's what the founding fathers would want.
