Ward Garden Plot

There is a site that has been purchased by the church for a new building in Winchester. It is supposed to be the new Berryville ward building, so we are really excited. BUT it's going to be a while before they break ground, so the bishopric decided to use the land for our good this summer and make a garden plot.

The whole reason the boys went to the farm was to pick up tomato plants from Angie's mom's collection as well as to get hay and such. So after being at the farm all day, they boys went with Angie to the ward plot and helped the bishopric and her put the plants in the ground. They also planted some beans and squash. Good thing the boys were there for the manual labor!!!

Angie had called me at 4pm saying that they had just left and would be home in about an hour. So 5:00 rolled around and she called to say that they had stopped at the garden plot so she wouldn't have to backtrack and that she didn't want me to worry. Of course I wasn't worried - they were in good hands. So around 6:15 or so they got home excited and tired.

Thanks Angie for such a fun day!

We had a ward garden growing up I remember going to. I do not rememebr having as much fun and the boys, though. We were working with grapes and I rememebr it getting really messy!
