In order to have a level fire pit, Jake decided we needed to build a retaining wall.
So he did all of the grunt work, and I held the posts while he poured concrete. He was quite proud of his accomplishment.

He needed 7 holes. Luckily it rained a few days making the ground easier to work with.
And here's the finished product. Jake went to our friends, the Evans' to get logs to sit on.
I guess we'll break the pit in soon.

Looks cool! I want to help break it in...hmmm...maybe around Christmas? Sounds kinda cold, but fun! Can't wait to see you guys sooooooon!!!
we'll be wearing shorts and t-shirts compared to the wisc weather.
i'll go sit around it if you provide a recliner and a tv and/or wireless.
